The Coronation Medal was created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. It is the first Canadian commemorative medal to mark a coronation.
Do you know someone who stands out in our community and inspires others with their contributions to Canada? Nominations are now open for their candidacy for the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Guidelines for the Selection of Nominees
The following guidelines have been developed to assist nominators:
- Nominations should focus on the achievements of persons who have helped build the Canada of today, including youth, volunteers, educators, veterans and healthcare workers.
- Nominees may be selected for their long service and good conduct as a volunteer or member of an organization; for having demonstrated high professionalism; or for performing a deed or activity that brings great credit to Canada.
- Through their achievements and sustained contributions, nominees will have distinguished themselves from others employed in the same field.
- The Medal is to be awarded to individuals only, not to groups or couples.
- Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Please note that I do not have the final say in who is selected for a Coronation Medal. The final determination is made by the Office of the Governor General, which oversees the awarding of these prestigious honours.
