Our government is working hard to support small business during the pandemic, that includes helping them pursue new opportunities in the global marketplace, to protect existing jobs and create new ones. Today, the Hon. Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade was visiting businesses that are successfully growing internationally during COVID-19--including Thumbprint Solutions in Markham-Stouffville, a mechanical engineering services and simulation software solutions provider that also develops electric vehicles. We received feedback on how our government’s programs are helping and what we can do to improve them. We also talked about the newly revamped CanExport program that provides businesses with up to $75,000 in funding to expand their e-commerce presence, attend virtual trade shows, and navigate COVID-19 related trade barriers.
